The following fees are payable in cash at the conclusion of each counselling or psychotherapy session:
- Individual: $120 per hourly session
- Couples: $150 per hourly session
- Group therapy: $60 per two hourly session
Reduced Fee
While the cost of counselling or psychotherapy may be an obstacle to seeking professional help for some people, limited ability to pay will not prevent a person from being offered therapy. Low cost fees may be discussed to accommodate specific personal needs.
Medicare and Insurance
The cost of counselling and psychotherapy is not covered by Medicare. However, this may not be an issue since the current fee payable is less than the Medicare gap fee levied by many practitioners.
Certain private health insurers may provide coverage for counselling and psychotherapy services. Please contact Michelle Lam to discuss whether your health insurance policy provides this benefit to you.
Cancellation Policy
To cancel or reschedule your counselling and psychotherapy session, clients are required to provide at least 24 hours notice. If this is not possible, clients may be required to pay for the full cost of the session.
